About the project:

The general objective of this project is to combat gender-based violence and to improve the well-being of LGBTIQ youth through a comprehensive approach at education that connects education settings and rainbow families. The CLICK project will work closely both with rainbow families (understood as any family with an LGTBIQ member) and educational professionals.

Project objectives and activities:

The project will combat gender-based violence against LGBTIQ youth by connecting educational professionals and rainbow families. 

    • Research on experiences of violence and resilience practices
      • A mix of qualitative and quantitative methods will be used to gather data from educational professionals and rainbow family members. We will gather input from more than 20 interviews and more than 100 online questionnaire responses.
    • Developing National Report
      • The report will summarize the analysis of the legal/political frameworks, quantitative/qualitative research results. The results will be used in national trainings and policy makers webinars and they will be key for creating recommendations for policy makers.
    • Peer-support workshops 
      • The 2 workshops for rainbow families will promote the peer-support, strategies to prevent and combat discrimination from an intersectional approach and promote positive discourses of diversity. 
  • Rainbow Family festival
      • Celebration of a festival to empower and increase support for LGBTIQ youth and rainbow families. The festival will take an intersectional approach to make sure it is a safe space for all children and rainbow families.
    • Training for professionals working with youth
      • The training for professionals working in the education field to provide tools for supporting LGBTIQ youth will employ an intersectional approach in order to increase skills in preventing and combating violence against LGBTIQ youth.
  • Workshops for connect educational professionals and rainbow families 
    • They will promote joint efforts between these stakeholders. Joint work between participant educational professionals and rainbow families will ensure combatting gender-based violence against youth.
