What is Artivism?
Artivism is a community group created as a safe and inspiring space for LGBTI+ people who combine art and activism in their practices. It’s a gathering place for photographers, poets, musicians, writers, performers, visual artists, and all creative individuals who want to speak on important social issues through their work.
Artivism [BG ONLY]
A community for artists, activists, and anyone who uses art as a tool for social change.
Who can join?
The group is open to anyone who identifies as an artist-activist or strives to use their creativity for social impact. It doesn’t matter if you’re a professional or just starting out—what matters is the desire to create and to bring change.
People from all kinds of artistic and activist backgrounds are welcome, including those who are just beginning to discover themselves in one (or both) of these directions.
When do the meetings take place?
Meetings are held once a month in person at the Rainbow Hub. The schedule is coordinated together with the participants to make it as convenient and accessible as possible.
Artivism is a space for co-experience, co-creation, and resistance. If you believe that art can be a way to fight for a world with more justice, freedom, and love—then this is the place for you.
